I believe that on the show “Arrested Development”, the two brothers are talking about the family’s need to economize and how their yacht “The Seaward” was no longer worth owning. There was disagreement on this point between the two men.
Just as their mother (a humorously nasty drunk) walks into the room, one brother says, “I won’t say anything more to you until “The Seaward” is gone.”
And the mother says, “I’m not going anywhere.”
It’s not a literary joke, it’s an auditory joke.
