President Trump said Wednesday that the Obama administration should be under investigation for Russian meddling instead of him and his campaign.
Question: If all of the Russian meddling took place during the Obama Administration, right up to January 20th, why arent they the subject of the investigation? Why didnt Obama do something about the meddling? Why arent Dem crimes under investigation? Ask Jeff Sessions! Mr. Trumptweeted.

So how can the FBI investigate the Trump campaign using the Hillary paid for hoax dossier? Which is the greater conflict? Why hasnt Sessions gotten off his ass to attack that travesty? That travesty is not part of the campaign he supposedly advised.Because Jefferson Beauregard Sessions III is a horse's rear end.

Interesting that Obama’s action was punitive, but not actually striking the problem.

Conflict is generally determined on a person-by-person basis, not on an institutional one.
But you do raise a good point, how can we trust he FBI/DOJ to investigate wrongdoing in the FBI/DOJ? Institutional protection kicks in. As the claims of bad or criminal conduct by the FBI/DOJ gain traction (and the OIG report will add substantial heft to the claim), the calls for an independent counsel with power to indict and prosecute will increase.
The bottom line is "who do you trust to look into this?" That's the whole point of conflict management. Try to find a neutral and competent person or team.
Sessions is conflicted out of Hillary investigation, because it looks like a forgone conclusion that he would lock her up. He said in confirmation, answering Grassley, that he recuse from Hillary and Clinton Foundation matters.
I don't see Sessions' recusals as a big deal, and recusing from investigating the Trump campaign was literally by the book. There are others willing to be pit bulls against Hillary. Spread the joy and work around a little bit. Sessions certainly isn't going to stifle the work like Lynch did.

Check the confirmation hearings transcript. Sessions did promise to recuse himself of all investigations connected to Hillary. Can you post that link for us please, including quoting just a little further down than normal? I believe Sessions even testified he doesn't believe in investigating previous administrations, much at all.

and we have a Congress that may want to impeach. He can always keep feeding his friends to Mueller hoping Mueller will leave him alone.
I think I might trade a maybe get impeached now for a sure impeachment later.

“What was Obama supposed to do, bomb Russia?”
That’s exactly what a surprising number of Leftists are calling for now.
Consider that: the mere _possibility_ that the “meddling” MAY have resulted in Trump winning is ENOUGH for established anti-war Leftists to DEMAND WAR WITH RUSSIA.
_That_ is the mindset we’re up against here. They are seriously that enraged about losing.

You missed door number 3: Trump is trying to get reelected. So he’s juggling about 10 balls in the air and trying to catch them all on election day 2018 and 2020.

Could it be that there are things going on behind the scenes you (or I dont know) Could be, he could even be planning to give amnesty to illegals and maybe even signing new gun control legislation.

True that, but Mr. Trump likes to keep a lot of balls in the air. It’s right in his wheelhouse to do so. Some pan out, some don’t, he moves on.

I don't disagree, but it may take some time to put together a solid case, backed with enough direct evidence of the crime.
Another thing I've learned is that Hillary Clinton and all of the others insulate themselves well from legal accusations. They know that all they need is a plausible deniability, and no jury would convict them. I'm not suggesting there isn't enough evidence, but Sessions deserves enough time to put together a case. There are both legal and political ramifications here.

Weakness and lack of resolve are never pretty. Pretending the boat isn't leaking, while watching someone drill holes in the bottom, isn't real helpful either.

Sessions certainly isn't going to stifle the work like Lynch did. You have evidence that any work has began. Something other than Qanon would be preferable.

AND as repeated on Rush yesterday or day before, Obama told Trump that the elections could not be effected by Russia, he said not possible in October then tune changed after the election results.
