I think people who are saying we as conservatives should just not use these products, and I think that is a grave mistake.
I say this as someone who does NOT use FaceBook and does NOT use Twitter, or any of those other things. I think they are both narcissistic and a waste of time. But that doesn’t mean I don’t think they are important for what they stand for.
We are seeing a fusion here of ideology and industry in a way that we have never seen before, and anyone who cares about this country should be alarmed at what is going on.
It is a deliberate and concerted effort at censorship that spans an industry from Apple to FaceBook to YouTube.
If we allow ourselves to be marginalized by simply withdrawing, that is going to be a mistake, because it is going to embolden them further.
We have already done this to a large degree in the media. We don’t even bother to change it or really even take it seriously anymore except for acknowledging the damage it is capable of. Conservatives have surrendered the Media (which is dying a slow death anyway, particularly the print media) and retreated to the Internet.
They are making a concerted push to establish leftist dominance on the Internet, and if we just let them succeed, mark my words, we will regret it as a nation.
You have a lot of good points in this thread. I’m not quite there yet but you do make good points on this type of communication.
I’m just wondering where are the investors in these companies? It’s pretty obvious these CEO’s are out to hurt conservatives, which self-identify as conservatives 2-1 over those who self-identify as liberal or so I’ve read in the past.
I thought Sarbanes-Oxley was supposed to protect the investors from CEO’s making bad decisions such as these. There are twice as many conservatives out there than liberals so that would be definitely hurting their companies by having these type of policies. Are they just good at hiding this from their investors or should we start looking at Sarbanes-Oxley to reel in some of these insane CEO’s?

Seems like the door is open to create some conservative social media platforms too?? Not that I want to stop anybody from joining, just places that conservative stuff wont get hidden and banned.
Probably not though, most conservatives would not have the time to make it succeed like facebook, twitter and youtube, and why would libs leave their safe space to do anything where a conservative might happen to challenge their thinking. I might spend 15 minutes a day on facebook now just to catch up with what is happening with extended family...
I saw an old liberal school friend I connected with, make a post about getting his workers comp bill today and it was up 25%. He was blaming Trump... I said oh, I thought workers comp was a state fund not federal?? what state you ask, why California of course. I am sure if he responds, it will be Trumps fault his State had to charge more... Nothing at all to do with all his fellow Californians milking the workers comp fund I am sure!

I heard one guest host say he us recovering from the flu.
Twitter shadow banned my tweets and disappeared followers many times over a year ago.. The last straw was when Twitter sent me an email saying my account was locked because I was hacked and that I’d have to click on their link to reset my password.. The email they sent also showed me two messages that both hackers tweeted on my account.. They were “Great, that’s all there is to do”.. How ominous is that?! Decided I’m done with Twitter.. don’t really miss it.
I agree wholeheartedly with your cogent post. I do not do facebook or twitter or instagram or anything else. I had an old twitter account - really old - that I never used. So I followed Bongino. He packs a lot into his show. Useful information too.
