Excerpt from the Miami Herald:

“... the Florida Retirement System Pension Plan holds shares valued at $528,000 in American Outdoor Brands Co. Formerly known as Smith & Wesson, American Outdoor manufactured the AR-15 rifle that Nikolas Cruz allegedly used to kill 17 people at Marjory Stoneman Douglas high school. The total shares held is 41,129.”

“That’s not all: Bloomberg also found that the Pension Plan has investments in Sturm, Ruger & Co., Vista Outdoor Inc., and Olin Corp, which all make firearms...”

While some of those companies manufacture firearms and ammunition, many also diversify into other markets. Olin Corp for example does a lot of stuff with chemicals and even makes skis both under “Olin” and “K2” brands.

Those companies have been doing well over the Obama terms so it would make sense to have some investment going there.

Maybe I can call the school board and offer ‘em pennies on the dollar to ‘take ‘em off their hands’.

Wouldn’t want ANYthing to do w/ those mean, nasty, arms manuf., right? /s
