They'd cut your mike and your camera, if it was live, and the taped versions would be scrubbed.

Very likely scenario.

In cases like these, we need to encourage people to take their unscripted questions to a conservative news outlet and explain how CNN edited their views or cut their interviews short.

Expose CNN for what it is: fakery and falsehood posing as news.

....the American mental health profession has purposely mainstreamed hundreds of rabid, mad-dog, killers-to-be.

Instead of putting these wanna-be monsters in institutions for criminally insane, they pump them full of PROZAC and unleash them to simmer and come to a killing-spree boil.

If the monster had not had a gun, he would have done exactly the same or worse with a car driven at high speed through the same crowd he created with the fire alarm.

While mental health ‘councilors’ go overboard with touchy-feely, feel-good, politically correct jargon like ‘safe zones’ etc. they let murder and mayhem go out into the world freely, without let or hindrance.

Yup, the same Einsteins that deemed faggotry and buggery to be "normal"...and set hordes of disease-ridden, child molesting whackjobs loose on our kids. The only "science" these perverts are interested in is junk science (or political science)

Bob Grant stated many years ago that Medved is not to be trusted. Everyone understands why now.

“What about the 17 - 20 year olds that are issued M9s, M4/M16s, M240s or M249s in the military? Are they too immature to operate those responsibly?”....

I’d love to see how the media would react when the “SHTF” as they cower behind those young military people trying to protect and defend them. Would give a whole different perspective to restricting age for gun ownership. Bet things might be looked at quite differently.

Can we just strip CNN of its broadcasting licence. This network is totally out of control, yet very few know they are Fake News.

Are therapists empowered to arrest patients?

They are empowered to declare patients criminally insane - i.e. a danger to themselves or others.

There is probably a more politically correct term, such as ‘this person requires a secure safe-zone, 24/7/365.’

Easier just to pump ‘em with PROZAC and show ‘em the door.

Let the school children deal with them...

The "children" saying we are too immature to buy guns before we turn 21 but, we must vote and shape what policies regarding Constitutional rights should be.

They may get more than they bargain for. If they want to change the age to purchase a gun to 21, then we should also change the age to 21 to vote.

Because, yes, they are too immature. Even 21 is pushing it.

I did that at Yale University once.

They made things very rough for me. My motorcycle was tipped over, my office was messed up and things just stopped working for me around the building.

“Declaration of Incompetency. Every state has court procedures for determining when and if someone is incompetent. Only a tiny percentage of persons with mental health conditions have ever been declared incompetent under these procedures. This corresponds with the reality that almost all persons with even the most serious mental illnesses are competent most of the time - that is, they are capable of making their own decisions about whether to seek treatment and support and what treatment and support they should receive.”

Exactly where on campus were all these shooting survivors? If they weren't in the immediate area the shooter was active in they aren't survivors their just lucky.

I was once at a softball game where a shooting took place 50 yards away across the street, if I called myself a shooting survivor I would have been met with derision and scorn. And rightfully so.

Almost all of these survivors are agenda driven attention whores and the others are being used.

In those states that have defined mandatory reporter lists, the following professions are frequently listed:

Day care workers
Dental assistants and hygienists
Doctors’ office staff persons
Emergency medical technicians
Family practitioners
Foster care workers
Hospital personnel
Medical examiners
Nurse practitioners
Police officers
Practical nurses
Psychiatrists and psychologists
Registered nurses
School administrators, advisors, and paraprofessionals
Social workers
Teachers and teachers’ aides

Everyone on the “mandatory reporters” list is REQUIRED by law to pass information to Law enforcement, but that mandate is focused on child abuse of varying degrees; it doesn’t enter into the realm of mandating that professionals likewise pass along any concerns that a particular individual may be prone to criminal behavior.

The latter is the duty of ALL citizens, and falls into the legal category of “permissive reporting”; nothing other than your own moral stature and good citizenship drives you to do it, and — unless the individual has already committed a crime that is known to you — there are no legal repercussions for saying nothing.

That stated, if it becomes known that you had strong indication there was a brewing problem, but said nothing, there CERTAINLY could be some powerful social blowback in your local community that could prove professionally and personally costly.

Under the heading “Never Happen” - There should be an investigation as to what exactly was the history vis-à-vis these agencies with the shooter? Someone should tweet this big-time.

It’s hard to believe there were no flags out there. I mean, 39 calls to the sheriff’s office?

SOMEBODY — probably SEVERAL somebodies — had great cause to think this kid was a clear and present danger to the community.

They said nothing.
They did nothing.
They WILL pay in the next world.
They OUGHTA pay in this one, too.

As an aside, the largest mass killing of school children in US history didn’t involve use of a firearm. See: Bath Massacre.
