What about the 17 - 20 year olds that are issued M9s, M4/M16s, M240s or M249s in the military? Are they too immature to operate those responsibly?
The left trips over their arguments constantly. The “children” must be protected from guns and sexual predators but must be allowed freedom to kill the unborn and to choose their gender (even if they are born Homosexual).

I’d love to see how the media would react when the “SHTF” as they cower behind those young military people trying to protect and defend them. Would give a whole different perspective to restricting age for gun ownership. Bet things might be looked at quite differently.
