Lockdown drills in schools. Teaching our kids to be sitting ducks. Complacent. Easy targets. Don’t fight back. The last two generations have been told not to fight back.

The schools not notifying LE about threats made by students to others.

LE not investigating threats that ARE reported.

Schools required to keep students who threaten other students/people, in the school. No regard to all the normal students and their education/lives.

There’s a ton of issues, with the 2nd A being the least of of the problem/cause.

I used to tell my students (middle/high school), during lockdown drills, this is what we have to do for the “drill” but if it were actually happening, we wouldn’t be sitting ducks and just follow my instructions. They trusted me and I knew they’d follow me.

I told my own kids to do the same. If it’s a “drill” follow the drill protocol and if it’s real, then run/fight. Cell phones are wonderful. They’re out of school now (two still in college) so not an issue anymore in the school setting other than college and it’s been rare for college lockdown.

When my kids were in high school, youngest a year and a half ago, they’d text me when there was a lockdown or shelter in place “drill” to see if it was real and what to do.

We’ve allowed the media/libs to dictate everything for so long I hope we finally stop it when it comes to school shootings.

You are spot on!

The President said the solution must be aggressive. He is right.

One man, even with a gun, is no match for a crowd. Yes a gunman may still be able to get rounds off but shooting with five people on top of you is darn near impossible. The problem is we have trained people run hide and wait to die.

The biggest fear of a mass shooter murderer is being taken alive and held accountable. As soon as they realize people will not just stand there and die and that they will be attacked from every angle the mass shootings will stop immediately. The mass shooter murderer wants to do his evil deed then kill himself, be killed or rarely get away but they do not want to get jumped on, held down then spend the rest of their miserable lives in prison or wait to die on death row.
