Pretty sure they hire people to clean up the mess. As is said, police are crime historians, except when they need some revenue, then they are crime inventors.

This is why trained teachers and coaches with access to concealed weapons as a last line of defense should be considered. You are not going to pay some cop basic pay and have him perform like Kris Paronto and his buddies.
