Open our embassy in Jerusalem on the 70th anniversary of the proclaiming of the State of Israel on May 14, 2018. WOW!
Arab heads will be exploding all across the Middle East.

How is this even possible? Don’t they have to construct it first?
...or do they plan to move into existing office space while the embassy is being built?

Just announced, the embassy will be moved May 14, 2018.
It was an easy move, we have had a full consulate there for many years.

Israel’s birthday this year falls on April 19th in accordance with the Hebrew Calendar.
Its rarely celebrated on Iyar 6 due to the desire to avoid desecrating the Sabbath.
So in some years, it could be celebrated before or after the official date.
