After each mass public shooting in the U.S. such as the horrific attack at a Florida high school last week that killed 17 people gun control advocates keep pointing to Australia as the role model America should follow to reduce gun deaths.
If only reducing crime and suicides was so easy. In reality, gun control efforts in Australia have not been as successful as weve been led to believe.

of course they do they are a propaganda arm of the democrats, progressives, communists oh I forget they are all the same party.

“European countries such as Belgium, France and the Netherlands have even stricter gun control laws than Australia does, but their mass public shooting rates are at least as high as those in the United States”
What better place for a crazed killer to shoot lots of people than a gun free zone school? Like Trump said, it is like inviting killers to an ice-cream social.
Yeah, well apparently the right to keep and bear arms isn’t among the Gog given rights of Australians.
So go live there, gun-control advocates.
Great point and great points in the article.
Even if gun control prevents mass shootings I am against it. Why? Because an unarmed citizen is not a citizen but a subject. I refuse to be ruled.
I also refuse to be drugged. I refuse to accept the media and government lies.
MAGA!
An Aussi called into Chris Plante’s show the other day, and said the gun ban in Australia caused knife attacks and home invasions to skyrocket.
I bet the young killer had an IEP.
“In the US, the Individuals with Disabilities Education Improvement Act of 2004 (IDEA) requires public schools to develop an IEP for every student with a disability who is found to meet the federal and state requirements for special education.”
“As outlined by IDEA, students can receive free appropriate education under special education law if they fall under one of 14 categories:
1. Autism
...
4. Developmental delay (for children aged 39, varies by state)
5. Emotional and behavioral disorders
...
7. Intellectual disability (formerly referred to as mental retardation)
...
13. Traumatic brain injury
...”

The federal government might require under the IDEA law that the federal gun buyer database be informed of such a plan.
This would enable gun vendors to make better selling decisions.
John Lott does a pretty good job, but the important numbers are not gun homicides and suicides but all homicides and suicides.
Suicide went up in Australia after their gun bans.

Doctors, teachers, law enforcement and judicial personnel might also be allowed to flag the federal database.

I has a mancrush on John Lott. Dude is brilliant, feerless, and absolutely unflappable. Facts flow out of his mouth like a hailstorm of little ballpeen hammers, banging liberals on their tiny little heads till they stutter, drool, then explode.
I’ve been to Australia, surprised at just how many happy, contented, well fed working healthy Australians wish to move to America, for more personal freedom, tired of being in a socialistic nanny society that taxes stuff bad for you.
Its not really about guns, you would panic a supermarket by wearing a simple Leatherman multi tool, cigs are $40 a pack, the public 8s paid to privately snitch on highway speeders.
It goes on and on, tons of personal freedom monitored, metered and dished after being sanitized.
That Florida shooter looked European, Bosnian was my first impression.
Does the phrase “shall not be infringed” exist in the Australian Constitution?
Is that for real?
