Students should boycott the Sunshine State for spring break until lawmakers pass sensible gun control legislation, a Florida teen who survived the Parkland school massacre urged Saturday.

In a tweet likely to sent shivers down the spines of tourism officials from Miami to Jacksonville, Marjory Stoneman Douglas HS senior David Hogg called on young gun control advocates to take their kegs elsewhere.

He’s not old enough to drink alcohol, and as I understand it in his opinion he’s not old enough to buy a firearm, so why is he old enough for us to accept and follow the advice he’s giving here?

Properly addressed, he is a useful foil; useful for us to call attention to the real interactive dynamics, so well understood by the Founding Fathers. Hogg, Pelosi & Schumer, are totally out of the league of the very wise men, who established the way of life, we intend to preserve.

From Chapter Two of the Conservative Debate Handbook:

A few years earlier, at the conclusion of the War, General Washington had put his thoughts on the Common Defence into a May 2, 1783 draft to Alexander Hamilton, entitled Sentiments On A Peace Establishment:

...to prove ...the Policy and expediency of resting the protection of the Country on a respectable and well established Militia, we might not only shew the propriety ...from our peculiar local situation, but we might have recourse to the Histories of Greece and Rome in their most virtuous and Patriotic ages.... we might see, with admiration, the Freedom and Independence of Switzerland supported for Centuries, in the midst of powerful and jealous neighbors, by means of a hardy and well organized Militia. ...

It may be laid down as a primary position, and the basis of our system, that every Citizen who enjoys the protection of a free Government, owes not only a proportion of his property, but even of his personal services to the defence of it, and consequently that the Citizens of America (with a few legal and official exceptions) from 18 to 50 Years of Age should be borne on the Militia Rolls, provided with uniform Arms, and so far accustomed to the use of them, that the Total strength of the Country might be called forth at a Short Notice...

The following month, June 8, 1783, Washington reported to the States, in surrendering the solemn trust of his command: The Militia of this Country must be considered as the Palladium of our security, and the first effectual resort in case of hostility...

Washington's reference to the Swiss was quite revealing. Trained, as school boys, in the safe, correct and deadly accurate use of arms, the Swiss had and have managed to maintain an armed neutrality for generations amidst their more warlike, but less war efficient neighbors. While world travelers have reported for generations that Switzerland, where every household has its own military grade weapons, has the lowest crime rate in Europe. The Swiss have also managed to preserve the diverse rights of their 22 Cantons (or States) better than any other Federation in the world.

Yet perhaps the single most important reason why Washington wanted America to adopt the Swiss system, is that it teaches the youth--in the most immediate and compelling manner--the importance of that level of personal responsibility on which all of our other institutions are based. It gives youth a sense of purpose, importance and self-worth, for which all the words expended by "Liberal" theorists, from the Creation to this day, are no substitute.

Now there were 4 deputies who were derelict in their duty, and we are still blaming the Constitution.

There are still drunk driving deaths, is it time to attack the Ford Motor Company?

We have the accountability function all screwed up.

Parkland should have been prevented by the FBI and Local Cops, and would have had a better outcome if the 4 armed deputies advanced. It is hard to understand.

Anyone think this guy thought of this on his own or is he a puppet for the far left lunatics directing the conversation at this moment?

Please boycott, by all means. We’re slick of the crap that goes on when the little darlings trash the beaches and cause mayhem. Just not worth the extra revenue.

Dear David....There is a truly active solution.

Sign up all your buddies, both girls and boys, and have them swear under oath that they will never purchase a gun of any kind.

See what happens.

The photo from the 2015 yearbook was from the Florida school. You can tell that because another student pictured there is wearing an “Eagles” sweatshirt (mascot of the Florida school).

The story saying he graduated in CA in 2015 is erroneous, and possible an intentional spoof, or distracting shill.

Just a reminder....There were no children at the Constitutional Convention.

They were home shooting game so they had enough food for winter.

He’s no more a survivor than I am.

He is a political activist, worthy of the same scorn due to Pelosi, Schumer, or CNN.

Appears he has someone acting as his agent, booking gigs and venues.

A staff or handlers to book travel, lodging, meals and clothing.

Other handlers for his daily scripts and rehearals.

No, I think it was established that was real. The little POS evidently did live in Cali. for a while.
