No, I believe they do have their own Bureau of Land Management equivalent.
But unlike their American counterparts who roam the badlands & sagebrush flats looking for undocumented cattle & sheep without proper grazing permits, the Mexican BLM drives garbage trucks through the deserts to the dumping grounds of bodies of entire families - or sometimes entire villages - of victims of cartel violence.

IMO< Scott Israel needs to be the dead chicken hanging around the Democrat party’s neck for a while. They’ll cut him loose once they get tired of the smell and seeing him thrown under the bus by his “friends” will be even more entertaining than seeing him fired by a Republican governor.

I thought it was a rather profound statement, that I read at the checkpoint. “You are leaving the American sector.” I actually thought we were heading into the belly of the beast.

I have Hispanic friends and have asked the ones actually from Mexico about home. One gal was flying home to see her folks, arriving in-country mid-afternoon.
I knew she’d been tremendously homesick. “Good for you! You can sleep in your own bed that night!” Thinking they had time to go from the airport back home, a 2 or 3 hour drive.
She just looked at me. “Oh, no. Not until the next day. It’s not safe.”
Not safe, the cartels, the narco’s ... friends, neighbors, even family members murdered ... everyone had a story.
That’s partly why they can’t wait to get out of there. Because of drugs, crime and violence it is a @#*%-hole country.
I think they should try staying home and making it better. But I digress.
