Tapper did that to save his own ass. Why? Because Tapper allowed Isreal to berate the NRA at the townhall knowing their were police failures. Once the public found out, it made CNN look like idiots. Tapper gave Isreal an opportunity to take responsibility and he refused. Isreal will not be back because he complicates the ‘gun grab’ argument.

And Tapper will continue to spout fake news.

Fake News defined: The omission of critical facts. Example below.

Fake News: Husband shoots wife.
Real News: Husband shoots wife as she held a knife to someone’s throat.

Both stories state the wife is shot. One portrays the husband as a murderer and the other portrays him as a hero. Very different.

The MSM do this constantly. And as a viewer you have no idea that facts have been omitted.

Didn’t watch the video, but the headline made me wonder what had gotten into Fake Tapper. Your excellent analysis provides a plausible answer.

I would just add that there were probably far more leftists watching the “town hall” than there were watching the program in question. So, for CNN, Tapper’s appearing to get tough does not diminish their gun grab message.

The MSM doesn’t report the news, it “shapes” it.
