McCarthy is so intelligent and accomplished in law, a great writer, but honestly his association with the Mona Charen of irrelevancy, the NR, is a connection that does him no favors.

McCarthy held the line on insanity over the president but he touched the third rail a couple of times along the way. He’s come around as he realizes the attacks and dangers to the Republic and the Constitution comes from the Leftist seditionists.
