Interesting.

Is there a Republican opponent who could beat the Dem candidate?

I think CA has an open primary system and the top two vote getters go forward to the general election, even if they are from the same party.

Why does it take two “authors” to write such a simplistic story? She did not get an endorsement so just go away you old rich bitch....Just go away!

Yes that’s true. It is quite possible the general election will be between two Democrats.

California has a “top two” system, and usually, the top two are both Democrats. That’s how far gone California is.

I wonder if Diana is still loving all those Illegals now? It will soon only be Mexicans elected to statewide office.

DemocRAT DiFi will never admit just how rich she and her husband have become because she funneled millions of taxpayer dollars to herself and her husband. She was the head of the committee and she used her position to funnel the taxpayer dollars to herself and her husband. When accused of it, she lost her chairmanship, but was not removed from the committee.

The people on the Left know the Democrats are faking their progressivism and are just tools of moneyed elites from banking and business.

Bernie Sanders opened that wound.

Heck, Diane Feinstein is a Corporatist to the hilt, a John McCain female version.

She’ll have to scare people with stories about the “far right”, “gun lobby” and “haters” out to get her so people will vote for her.

Her big money backers will give her the propaganda budget to do it, you can count on that.

Just as the McCain’s have faked their conservatism, the Feinstein’s have faked their liberalism.

The average people are waking up to it and that’s fine with me.

There are a couple of no-name GOP guys, and then there is Caitlyn Jenner (the trans reality guy). Rumor has it that Jenner is discussing the idea of running on the GOP ticket. Personally, I would not care....he might actually be able to beat the Democrats, and the arrival in DC would help for entertainment value.

Put it this way: The loathsome idiot Barbara Boxer was once thought to be vulnerable in the Tea Party wave of 2010, the biggest GOP romp in what, 70 years? She faced a serious, non-defective candidate in Carly Fiorina who didn’t give Californians any reason to vote against her...and she still lost by 10 points.

So, no, there is no hope for any Republican in California. Let’s also not forget that the reason they’re maybe looking to dump Difi is because, as crazy left as she is, is still not extreme enough for that communist state.

Feinstein is an incompetent liberal leftist. De Leon is a staunch Marxist ideologue besides being crazy.

America and California both lose if either are elected or reelected.

The odds of Republican making the top-two runoff are nonexistent. What we need is ONE AND ONLY ONE strong candidate, what we have is a couple state assemblymen and several complete nobodies. Filing deadline is March 9th. De Leon isn’t even the worst rat running, there’s another “progressive” in the race backed by the group “Justice Democrats”.

The “good news” is that GOP voters have the power to save Feinstien’s *ss in the runoff. Hurts to think about I know, but in a binary choice between her and someone worse it’s absolutely the right call. I live in Chicago and I voted to reelect Rahm Emmanuel in the mayoral runoff, it was painful but I didn’t hesitate one bit cause the dude he was running against is a diseased circus monkey who would have made the city even worse, sadly the Barum and Bailey escapee is sure to be elected to Congress this year, Bernie came to town to shill for him, unnecessarily since his victory is assured.

The CA state party absolutely needs an endorsement process. For every race it needs to select either ONE (for most races including statewide races) or TWO (for legislative races were an R/R is possible) candidates (never more than 2), and any Republican that runs without endorsement should be shunned. If they run 2 weak and 7 complete nobody Republicans for every statewide office the GOP will never win statewide office again. 40% at BEST GOP base vote divided by too damn many equals not enough to come in second.

——Democratic Party decided not to endorse -—

The severely fragmented democrat party was unable to reach a consensus on a Senate and Gubernatorial candidate for endorsement
