He was a low performing special eduction student with autism, depression, and a host of other severe disorders.

According to his extended family, neighbors, school mates, host families, and an ex-girlfriend these things had happened.

He held a rifle to both his mother’s and his brother’s heads.
He repeated hit his mother, his brother and his ex-gf and others.
He assaulted kids at school and was kicked out finally.
He threw chairs at students and teachers.
He destroyed furniture around his own home.
He threw rocks at his neighbor’s moving car.
he brought and sold knives at the school cafeteria.
He threatened specifically his ex-gf and her parents w bodily harm.
He threatened his host mom and her son in Palm Beach.
He threatened specific classmates as well as the entire school.
And there’s voyeurism, destruction of private property, animal abuse, etc.

The buck stops with Sheriff Israel & Superintendent Runcie for ushering in a ‘Sanctuary’ policy that curtailed discipline and arrest of juvenile delinquents. He belonged confined in a reform school for the criminally unfit who pose a clear danger to society.

But Nikolas Cruz was honest and had a goal. He broadcast repeatedly his plans to shoot up his school and he completed his goal.

.
Actually a professional did the shooting, not Cruz. He was just there to take the blame, and pump his ego.

Almost as an F-you to all those who willfully ignored his cries for help (for lack of better term) and escalating acting up. Kid probably knew he wasn’t fit for society, but society wouldn’t put him where he needed help to go. Or do we even have long term mental institutions anymore?
