Interesting you mention that.

All those people were the "anti-establishment" types in the 1960s. Now, many of those same people who later gained power in government, are today entrenched in government and they're the biggest pro-establishment, big government people ever.

The '60's establishment had things they didn't like.
Today's establishment has everything they love.
It's their establishment now so it's okay to be pro-establishment.

True, but the people haven’t changed. They are still hard core leftists.

The difference now is the government has changed. 90% of government workers are now also hard core leftists.
