Hubby and I will be present. Would be mighty rude to miss y’all in our back yard unless we had a family emergency. If you need me to do extra cooking or other getting ready let me know. I can make the beans, they might not be as good as The Mom’s and I can be bitchy if needed. Just tryin to help.
With fewer folks we obviously don’t need food in greater quantities but we still need variety and enough for each meal. I am a good hand in the kitchen FWIW. #CanDoMoreThanPie
We’re up vis’tin’ kids in Maine til mid-Sept so anything needs doin just ping me.
We will have a terrible time without you here. Cryin’, moanin’, complainin’, - oh, right, that’s Gunner’s reg’lar assignment ;)
We’ve still got an extra bed if you can make it. It’s still cluttered but free. Coffee pot’s always ready, welcome mat out. You know your way around now.

There’s no easy way to tell my buds in Texas, but I will not be attending the shoot this year, either.
The reason are varied, from health to money, and all the stuff in between.
I am brokenhearted about it, but there isn’t anything I can do.
Also, one of my co-workers put in for that same week ahead of me, and she also has seniority.
Boss lady tells me she cannot cover two of her Medical Technicians being gone the same week, so there you have it.
If hubby had not fallen ill and become hospitalized in Nebraska when he went out to see his Mom, and had the transmission not fallen out of out van last month, things might be different!
I hope you guys have a GRAND time, and please take lots of pictures for me!

I, too, am brokenhearted that you can’t be here this year for the shoot. I was so hoping that a way could be found. But, with that woman getting the very week for her vacation, that doesn’t even give us a chance to help you! Grr.

Wow! Thunderstorms, huh! Hope you got a nice rain out of the noise! Thunder doesn’t seem to bother my cats, but I guess we get more of it than y’all do.
I’d LOVE to come up there next year. It’s a bit harder now that my kids live in WY and it’s expensive to go up there. But I want to try. I guess we’ll just have to see how things play out.
I am not sure what part of Maine Wneighbor is visiting. It might be too far away, but that’s all up to her and the family that she’s visiting.
Maybe we just need to tuck Ms. Behavin in our car for the ride home. Just a little smuggling.
We understand the work restrictions tho. Hopefully we can have a visit before hubby and I head back. Freepmail sent to Ms Behavin this morn ;)
We must have brought the thunderstorms with us. The day we arrived they told us the storm was one of the rare ones. We’ve seen more lightening 2 other days and the kids are amazed. Hope you all fared well in the storms and were just able to enjoy the sky show.
Hope to get a chance to see you next week. My phone # is in FRmail. Will be inundated with grandkid activities over the weekend but Monday kids will be back at work and grandkids in school.
This year we only had a few days notice of our visit. The kids paid our way up cause Hubby is out of work right now. However, we usually plan well in advance. Maybe in the future we could coordinate and you could ride up with us???
I vote we continue on as planned, and lament the absence of those unable to attend.
We’ve sucked up worse tragedies and carried on.

In other news, “Crazy” the deaf range dog who fetches rocks and blowed-up stuff off the range is back in action after a brief attempt at retirement.

I wish I could make it. Mrs. L and I are planning to move to TX in 2 years. That one we will make for sure.
