With Civil Service regulations and so forth in place public employees shouldn't be allowed to unionize in the first place. Damn, there's over 20 million people working for all the various levels of government and a single union collects dues nation wide then picks the candidates to lavish donations and campaign workers on?

Go back to it being illegal for government employees to unionize, period.

If they go on strike there are a Hell of a lot of people displaced by jobs moving overseas and H1B Visa workers here who would love to have regular employment so fire those on strike and replace them. If the government grinds to a halt for a while during the transition, so be it.

Unions made sense when they were fighting for safer work places, pay in US currency rather than company script, compensation for on the job accidents, and so on. Now, they're just subsidiaries of the deep state machine.

Just like the US government, once the criminal globalist scum take over they have to be all thrown out. Union members don't have a track record of throwing out the political criminal hacks that run them. We're in the process of seeing whether US citizens are any better at throwing out criminal political hacks running the government than the unions have been at getting rid of the scum running unions.

The safer workplace issue is gone: insurers largely force the issue. Now it is an issue of extreme benefits to include unsustainable pensions. It is also a case of protecting slugs: witness the unionized VA ‘work’ force.
