I remember them doing this after Sandy Hook. Thats when I stopped going to them.
They were having an AR-15 sale the weekend before Sandy Hook. I was there with a crowd of other guys looking (it was a really good sale), but I could not bring myself to buy something that ugly. I started to hand it back and the guy behind me asked to see it. I handed it to him and he slapped down his plastic without even looking at it. I checked in after their announcement and they did remove all AR-15 variants.
I did not know they had a subsidiary that continued to sell them. What was its name?
It's no M1A or Thompson M1928A1 but I wouldn't call it ugly.
