“Tell me one thing the nra has rolled back in the last 50 years.”

The absolute ban on concealed carry in DC and Illinois spring to mind. Heller and McDonald were pretty important decisions. And the NRA helped put quite a bit.

The assault weapon ban?

No. That was not "rolled back" or repealed. It expired ... there was a 10 year sunset provision built in when it was passed.

“Tell me one thing the nra has rolled back in the last 50 years.”

For openers, all 50 states now have some form of concealed carry on the books....including last and least my wretched illannoy. Add firearms owners protection act.The main thing is the NRA...and other worthy gun rights organizations..endless struggle to fend off democrat attempts to take away our rights.

They don’t need the NRA’s or FR’s records. They track you through your credit and debit cards and have been for decades.

I have never missed a vote. And I am an NRA member. That is where the NRA’s power comes from.

The Feds have got every Form 4473 ever submitted. They know who has bought guns and probably still have them. They don’t need the list of NRA members.

the established plan is to take gun control “steps” in “increments.” .......... We know this is true, because every time a new gun control law is passed, you will see the rats on tv saying “this is a good first step.”

More than you can imagine Google “in-q-tel”

I was involved with a company that sold SEO and targeted advertising online, like when you go to Amazon to look at something and then that something is a banner ad on every other website you go visit.
We had a pharma client I told them we could target advertise blood pressure meds to those that take blood pressure meds, one of the doctors in the meeting called me a liar that was impossible due to HIPAA laws. I told him a story. Imagine you walk into a pharmacy you walk up to the counter and fill your prescription, the pharmacist goes to computer and removes 50 pills from inventory (data point one) I compare that to the data of which phone ip addresses were in proximity to the stores wifi server when that request was made (data point 2) I save that info and cross reference it against which phones were In the store the next time the meds were bought and the next (data points 3+4) now I do the same thing when the medicine is paid for at the counter. Now I have enough data to send an ad to just the phone that was at the store when the meds were taken out of inventory and paid for. And I don’t even have to know your name, your credit card info or any personal data that most people would worry about keeping secure or private. And I can begin to make estimates and predictions, for example those 50 pills will probably last 50 days so I can predict when they will need to make that purchase again and only advertise when it will be most effective. And I can do that with basic technology and public data. Never mind what govco. would have access too like recorded future and who knows what else that is still secret.

https://www.wired.com/2010/07/exclusive-google-cia/

THE INVESTMENT ARMS of the CIA and Google are both backing a company that monitors the web in real time — and says it uses that information to predict the future.

The company is called Recorded Future, and it scours tens of thousands of websites, blogs and Twitter accounts to find the relationships between people, organizations, actions and incidents — both present and still-to-come. The idea is to figure out for each incident who was involved, where it happened and when it might go down. Recorded Future then plots that chatter, showing online “momentum” for any given event.

“The cool thing is, you can actually predict the curve, in many cases,” says company CEO Christopher Ahlberg, a former Swedish Army Ranger with a PhD in computer science. Which naturally makes the 16-person Cambridge, Massachusetts, firm attractive to Google Ventures, the search giant’s investment division, and to In-Q-Tel, which handles similar duties for the CIA and the wider intelligence community.

All my life I could not understand how Jews could just be herded into cattle cars.

The hard work of getting the Jews into cattle cars was done a decade earlier. It was a slow but ever present propaganda of how the Jews were hurting the country. Much like gun owners in the US today. The Jews tried to accommodate the Nazis by accepting first small, then large demands on them. Much like gun owners in the US today. They wanted to show that they were good citizens. When the time came, the German people had been convinced that it was OK to do what needed to be done and send the Jews away for the good of the Fatherland. It is slowly happening to gun owners in America today.

The NRA Is Not Your Typical Interest Group.... Its millions of members are motivated by ideology, not money, and they vote in droves.

And this is different from other interest groups... how?

It is surprising Obama sets up his ‘secret’ ops HQ right there on a public street. That is probably the most electronic surveilled house in DC next to the White House.
