Is ABSURD. He spoke 2 or 3 words of greeting then immediately said “I’ll do the rest in English if you don’t mind...” and everyone laughed.

The deputy who introduced him was far more familiar with the the crowd calling them “brothers and sisters” dozens of times.
It doesn’t make the sheriff any less responsible or his ideas and actions any less heinous but this is clickbait and completely out of context. Just watch the video yourself. It’s a political community outreach speech and at no point does he speak fluent Arabic.
