Senate Democrats offered their ante Thursday in the renewed gun control debate, saying any bill must expand background checks and allow court-ordered gun confiscations while demanding a vote on a semi-automatic rifle ban

Senate Minority Leader Charles E. Schumer of New York said his Democratic caucus is prepared to provide a “very large” number of votes for those priorities.

“This is what we think should be done. This is the right thing to do” Mr. Schumer said.

If the scum had their way, the litmus test would be wanting a gun. In other words, if you want a gun, you’re too crazy to have one.

But this go-round is different, because I think it’s all a diversion on the part of the WH. For the scum, one last chance to demagogue about guns is a welcome way to play for time and pretend things are “normal”. Even if people know intellectually they are the walking dead, normality bias is very strong and the typical daily routine is comforting - as long as it can be maintained.

I watched the meeting in real time. IIRC, he is not being quoted out of context. What he said, and how he said it, was chilling. The hairs on my neck went up as they did when Hillary used the word, “Russia” in that debate, and the first time I saw Hogg boy being interviewed. Big trouble up ahead.
