“What loophole?”
According to Dims, when a persons buy a firearm from another person without a NICS check, that’s a loophole.
I bought a couple that way. Sold a couple too.
But only once at a gun show.
Licensed dealers always insist on a NICS check. Private parties do not.
From a recent New York Times article: “President Donald Trump kept a loophole allowing people to obtain guns while undergoing mental health treatment that President Barack Obama had tried to close.”
Apparently, “No person shall . . . be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law” is a loophole, according to the New York Times.
