Special counsel Robert Mueller is now investigating whether President Trump attempted to oust Attorney General Jeff Sessions from his role last summer, according to a new report.

The Washington Post reports that Mueller’s team is now focusing on Trump’s private remarks and state of mind over the summer, when Trump was publicly slamming Sessions as “beleaguered” for not “looking into Crooked Hillary’s crimes.”

In a July interview, Trump blasted Sessions for his decision to recuse himself from the Russia investigation, saying it was "unfair" to him and that he would've likely picked another person to lead the Justice Department if he had known Sessions would recuse himself.

At the time, it was reported Trump was floating the possibility of replacing Sessions with former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani (R).

The Post reports that Trump was considering firing Sessions at the time,

"Mueller’s team is now focusing on Trump’s private remarks and state of mind over the summer"

Jimmy Carter had unclean thoughts one time as well, but there wasn't a special prosecutor around to send him to the dungeon for it.....

How did an action Trump did not take, dealing with someone who is recused from the whole Russia matter, of any conceivable legitimate interest to Mueller?

If this is true, Make Levin is right. Mueller is not making a legal case but a political one. There is nothing illegal in a President firing an AG, but a majority of Democrats in the House could use this flimsy stuff as a pretext to impeach Trump.

The Post is a fiction blog.

Impeach him for thinking about doing something perfectly legal?

Baloney. Just more gossip from unnamed sources familiar with someone who has no clue. Typical journalism in todays world.

Rudy isn’t in the best of health. After he passes, people here will be calling for him to take a big D.C. job for several more years. Minimum.

I suppose Mueller will start interviewing the surviving members of the Kennedy White House to determine what JFK’s “state of mind” was in selecting his 30-something brother as Attorney General.

Those of us who live Mayor Rudy love him. His great days were then.

Today, we pray the Kabuki theater ends and the Hon. AG Jeff Sessions shows why his Senate colleagues feared him and tried desperately to keep him from the post.

They didn’t calll AG Sessions the Silent Executioner for nothing. He’s all class and always first class.

The hammer will fall soon and a second special counsel will follow.
Many FRiends will be wiping egg from their face a good long while.

Enough. Mueller and his thugs have drilled a dry hole and it’s time to give it up. There is a crime called “Abuse of Process” and I suggest that Mueller needs his own attorney now.

Mueller is just another slimy traitor. Part of the Satanic cabal.

The crimes of the Clintons and Obama are like two mountains. To pretend that their corruption is not piled up to the sky is insanity.

These crimes have been ignored, and the FBI and DOJ have cooperated in covering them up, destroying evidence, and COLLUDING in these crimes.

And Mueller, his team of partisans, and the Democrat media continue to investigate, not the known crimes, but the imagined ones of the Trump campaign.

A war is coming.
