WaPo: Former Deputy FBI Director About To Be Torched For Misleading Inspector General(trunc)

Remember Andrew McCabe, the former Deputy Director of the FBI who was forced out last January? Well, there’s a DOJ report that’s about to be released that details how the top FBI official misled investigators and signed off on an 'improper media disclosure' that detailed the warring state of affairs between the bureau and the Department of Justice concerning the investigation into the Clinton Foundation (via WaPo):

The Justice Department inspector general is preparing a damaging report on former FBI deputy director Andrew McCabe, alleging he was responsible for approving an improper media disclosure, two people familiar with the matter said. One of the people said McCabe will also be accused of misleading investigators about his actions.

The report is a part of Inspector General Michael Horowitz’s broad review of the FBI and Justice Department’s handling of the investigation into Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email server while she was secretary of state.

During that work, inspector general’s investigators found that McCabe had authorized the disclosure of information to the Wall Street Journal for an October 2016 story that examined feuding inside the FBI and Justice Department around the handling of a separate investigation into Clinton’s family foundation, two people familiar with the case said.

Those probing the matter believe that McCabe, who stepped down in January, misled them when they initially inquired about the subject, though one person familiar with the forthcoming report said McCabe disputes that he intentionally misled investigators.

It is unclear how McCabe is said to have misled investigators.

Didn’t the NYT have a similar piece giving a heads up about McCabe looking bad in the upcoming IG report?

Something is afoot here. The leftist press is trying to get ahead of this to soften the blow or something.

McCabe disputes that he intentionally misled investigators.

Scooter Libby didn't intentionally mislead anyone, he just had a bad memory. Went to prison for it.

McCabe, on the other hand, is a low-down, dirty liar.

Have never seen a criminal “torched” before. I was under the impression that lighting people on fire would be considered cruel and unusual punishment. However, I’m not saying that members of the Satanic cabal running world politics are undeserving of such a fate. I’m just thinking it will probably not be carried out until after this life.

I, for one, would LOVE to have McCabe “torched”. His screams recorded for posterity and as a warning to anyone who dares corrupt the US Constitution. His cindered remained epoxied and put on display and the burnt flesh aroma bottled to remind government lackeys of how misconduct would be doled out.

“It’s a start”

Would like to think so, but my gut tells me McCabe drew the short straw at the “who takes the rap” Party in which the IG was holding the Straws.

SOOOOO... McCabe is supposed to take the fall for misleading investigators and then the case against Hillary will be dropped ?

“It is unclear how McCabe is said to have misled investigators.”

And of course, that will not be considered a factor in this case.

Scooter Libby was sentenced to prison but didn’t actually go to prison because GWB commuted his sentence (he still had to pay a hefty fine). It isn’t clear if he had a bad memory or just that the prosecutor and the DC jury chose to believe Tim Russert’s recollection of the facts over his recollection.

Let’s show the world that we are still a first class nation — prosecute the guilty and hold them accountable.
