Rising Democratic star Megan Barry is expected to resign as Mayor of Nashville at a hastily scheduled press conference that will be held at Nashville City Hall at 10 a.m. central on Tuesday, according to The Tennessean and other local media outlets.
Barry admitted on January 31 that she had a two-year-long affair with her bodyguard, former Metro Nashville Police Department Sgt. Rob Forrest, as Breitbart News reported:

Worse of all, she got a terrific plea deal because she received three years unsupervised probation, no jail time, and the charges can be expunged if she doesn't commit any more crimes. Being a DemonShit can really work wonders for someone in serious legal trouble.
What's really disgusting is the way the linked article treated her. The lede sentence says, “Megan Barry resigned from the office of mayor of Nashville Tuesday morning per conditions of a plea agreement for felony theft charges.” Is headline, however, only says, “Mayor Megan Barry thanks Nashville as she resigns from office
[,]” with nary a mention of her plea agreement.
Correct on all counts. Because her married boy-toy was a city employee, and because they falsified his overtime records to increase his pay massively, and billed the city for their sex vacations, she pled guilty to 10,000 in theft, as a round number.
And no chance of a conservative mayor, but we might be able to find a more honest one at least. Torry Johnson, anyone?
Maybe she could blame it on having a cold, too. Would that work?
