I covered some of the New Yorker's whitewash of Christopher Steele, the man behind the Clinton-Steele dossier, already.
Here's how it tries to disassociate Steele from the Shearer memo that he passed along. The issue here is that Steele passed along materials from Cody Shearer, one of Bill Clinton's plumbers, to the FBI confirming his own claims. It raised serious questions among many, including myself, whether Shearer hadn't originated the whole dossier.
Now here's the whitewash.

The article shows that Steele is simply a liar.
The media tries to protect Steele but the article shows how dishonest the media is.

You read all this stuff and know it’s likely true ... then you sit back and thick WTF is Mueller investigating?

This article strongly reinforces the idea that Obama was born in Hawaii. If the Clintons couldn’t even come up with some evidence Obama was born elsewhere, then his birth story must be true. The Clinton’s are the emperors of opposition research. If they couldn’t even cobble together some evidence, it must not be possible.

Dossier, it was presented with that title. Made up lies from the start. If it was a true collection of evidence they would have called it a report. But no, it had to be something special, introducing the “dossier” of Russian collusion!
It’s just like the bird flu “pandemic” that the media ran with in 2005. That was the start of all news channels following the same script. It has only gotten worse!
As much as Steele always attempted to play the James Bond figure....in the end, you get the idea that he’s some fake Bond-pretender. Someone ought to write up a secret agent series of books, entitled ‘Caste’ Steele, of some hapless guy who works for the DNC.
The whole dossier thing is a circle that always leads back to Hilliary....................multiple ‘sources’ that all have the same origin: the Clintons......................
There is money laundering and their is campaign dirty trick laundering. The Steele dossier is campaign dirty trick laundering.
The DNC knows it would look untoward if they passed along their campaign smear directly to the FBI, so they passed it thru the FBI’s handy-dandy paid mercenary group, Fusion GPS.
Fusion GPS passes the document to Steele, along with the laundering “fee”. Steele launders the document to make it appear as originating from overseas to then pass back to the FBI.
It’s no wonder Mueller is blind to this aspect of foreign election meddling. It would implicate the FBI and the important thing for Mueller is to act as the cleanup guy for the FBI’s mess.
Well at least nobody is talking about enforcing these backwards laws and cold heartedly breaking up these people’s families.
A second special counsel is now mandated. There is no excuse not to and every criteria existing to support that investigation. The IG at DOJ, Horowitz may be on the level but note these three irrefutable reasons for Special Prosecutor, 1. he has no subpoena power. 2. he has no prosecution capability
Over 20 corrupt deep state seditionist are no longer employed by DOJ. Horowitz cannot touch them!! They need to appear before a grand jury and tell all they know!! Horowitz, we hope has an enormous treasure trove of research, analyses and direct evidence that he can turn over to the special prosecutor ( I know, “counsel”) and save millions of man hours in preparation and prosecutions of these criminals including hillary and her criminal gang and obama who now is up to his eyeballs in direct knowledge of the crimes and aiding and abetting them.

Assuming facts not in evidence is never a good thing.
No matter how incompetent the Hawaii governments may be, I have not seen a shred of evidence that can prove that the birth records suffered a selective disaster which destroyed well-chosen official birth records.
Either Omugabe's long form record exists or it does not.
It should exist.
The other silly assumption is that Hillary is perfect. That she could not have that long form Birth Certificate found is no refutation.
She didn't offer enough money?
She didn't offer it to the right people?
More to the point, if Steele turns out to be that poor a researcher, how is it that his product was considered ample justification for radical surveillance measures? Because whether Donald Trump had the entire Rockettes chorus line pee on a bed in a Moscow hotel or not is completely irrelevant. “Is it true” is not a defense to this mess if the answer to “is it relevant” happens to be “no.”

The article says nothing about Obama’s birth or Hawaii.
Hillary dropped her Obama-legitimacy challenge in exchange for the SOS appointment. Reneging at this point would harm her more than it would harm Obama.
This also explains John McCain's behavior in obtaining the dossier.
The goal was to spread the fake stories all around Washington to frame Trump and convince Democrats and Republicans alike that America had elected a really bad guy with tons of skeletons in the closet that were going to explode and destroy Trump's Presidency before it even got started
The attempted coup started with the recount efforts, the efforts to use the Electoral College to block Trump from being confirmed and when that did not work they began their efforts to remove him via impeachment
One of the goals of the illegal FISA spying was to try to snare Trump or Trump insiders in the type of illegal influence peddling, foreign collusion and quid quo pro selling of high level jobs typical of the Obama Administration transitions
Remembering back to to 2008, Federal Prosecutor Fitzgerald had to roll up an FBI public corruption investigation involving the Governor of Illinois because they taped phone calls where Obama was caught in the process of trying to convince the Governor to broker his Senate seat to Jesse Jackson Jr for a 2 million dollar payoff . In order to keep Obama from being arrested, Fitz rolled up the investigation and tipped off Obama publicly by announcing the investigation
Comey and company hoped to catch Trump in similar dirty deals but it seems Trump ran a flawlessly clean and ethical transition which is kind of amazing
At any rate Clinton, Obama, McCain, Comey and Obama holdovers and Clinton partisans successfully worked to poison the well for President Trump using a phony set of lies intended to frame Trump and remove him from office
Given that this was coming with credibility from the DOJ, FBI , CIA and NSA, a lot of Washington either figured it was true or , even if it was a pack of lies intended to frame the President elect, they better get behind it , because the DOJ, FBI, CIA and NSA was behind it
