We somewhat agreed voting for him over Gore and Kerry now seems like putting less grease on the skids that would carry us off the edge of a cliff.

I prefer to look at it now as buying time for someone like Trump to come along.

I do to. I have long maintained that Leftism in and of itself has a lot of Orwell’s “Doublethink” in it, that is, the concept of holding two diametrically opposed points of view inside your head, and making yourself believe that both are true, when only one of them can be.

It creates a cognitive dissonance, and I think in many leftists, it causes them to become unhinged.

And that worries me.
