Police said a homemade explosive device was the item discovered in a backpack at Pine View High School Monday, that forced the evacuation of the school. Police said if the device had detonated, it would have caused significant injury or death. Police have a suspect in custody.

A warrant served at the male juvenile's home and items were found consistent with the materials used to build the device. Police also said the suspect had been researching information and expressing interest in ISIS and promoting the organization.

Hurricane High School in Utah. That's peculiar.

(Our English word "hurricane" comes from the Taino (the indigenous people of the Caribbean and Florida) word "huricán", who was the Carib Indian god of evil."

They should recruit MS13 to fight ISIS and if MS13 wins they can stay in Syria.

The bomb, being an improvised explosive device, technically falls in the ‘grey’ area of legality.
At any rate, i.e.d.’s should be closely regulated.

Just so nobody forgets.

During the Columbine massacre, in which 15 people were murdered and 21 injured, a total of four firearms were involved. The murderers also employed four knives and 99 explosive devices.

Of the firearms, only one qualified under the 1984 federal law as a banned “assault rifle”. One firearm was a doubled barreled shotgun with a shortened barrel. It has long been a federal felony to saw down the barrel of a shotgun and it was also a felony to possess such an altered weapon.

Every single explosive device was a federal and state felony to assemble, possess and use, and to use in the commission of a crime.

If the memory of Columbine is ever brought up today, the failure of the law to stop the use of explosives in a school massacre is never mentioned. It is never mentioned because that gets in the way of a Gollum-like fixation on the Precious, starting with the banning of certain firearms and certain accessories but to eventually to banning all firearms.

So, where is that Hogg guy calling for bomb control?

If this had worked the monster would have killed and maimed dozens.

One bomb, if placed well probably equals 4 or 5 AR-15’s.

Not banned by signage, like guns are.

Obviously this oversight must be corrected. All schools must display signage saying, “Bomb-Free Zone”

If the Bomb-Free Zone signs work as well as the Gun-Free Zone signs do, we should only lose a dozen or so schools per year.

Squanto had to spend a winter living on his own in the woods. It worked. He never brought guns or bombs to the wigwam.

“Libfolk everywhere will call for a ban of Islamic Extremists?”

No. He will be provoked by racism. There’s already a ban on racism. They’ll ban paint thinner, fertilizer, gasoline, hydrogen peroxide, and anything else that can be used to make a bomb. Then, when the next bomb explodes, they’ll make everyone register everything.

First I am glad he was caught - it hurts my heart too much when innocents are murdered - BUT it hurts my heart way more when not so brights try to ‘take over’ and try to impose their fears and hysteria on some ignorant idea of how to ‘stop’ tragedy - and the MSM pounds at it over and over again and yet does/says nothing about reality because it might ‘hurt’ some ‘person’s’ feelings or not fit their control freak agenda.

So now they will probably ban the backpack like they already were murmuring about doing in some places before this happened. Then because of the ‘shoe bomber’. from years ago, they will become pro-active and ban shoes(at least inside the school) and then........ everyone gets the picture...... by banning everything that might be a danger or ‘scary’ we hope to get rid of all our phobias about dying and we can all be happy. Except we won’t be. Because they, the politicians and MSM, will continue to focus on the fears to try to manipulate us into letting them have more power to be able to control us better.
