Requiring Union Dues is Coercing Support for Dems

WASHINGTON – The American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME) is ostensibly a public worker union. In truth, it is nothing more than an appendage of the Democratic Party. One hundred percent of its political contributions go to Democrats, and it works tirelessly to increase government spending and stop Republicans who want to reform state government.

When coercion is removed as it was in Indiana, only 5 percent of state employees chose to continue paying – and public worker union membership dropped from 16,408 in 2005 to just 1,490 in 2011.

This is what happens when workers aren't forced to participate.

Who in their right mind (besides libtards) would think government/teaching/law enforcement unions are a good idea? Have they made anything better besides retirees in Florida or Arizona who draw an obscene tax payer funded “retirement”?

The same goes for the media. What they’re doing has to be illegal. They’ve moved from bias into colluding with Dems and using their talking points to frame their stories.

"Justice Anthony M. Kennedy got to the heart of the matter last week, when he asked AFSCME lawyer David Frederick, “If you do not prevail in this case, the unions will have less political influence?” Frederick admitted they would. “Isn’t that the end of this case?” Kennedy asked. Yes, it is. As Kennedy put it, the question before the court is whether states can “mandate people that object to certain union policies to pay for the implementation of those policies against their First Amendment interests.”

How long ago, if ever, have the unions NOT been political?

You are soooooo correct. There’s got to be some way to legally curb the media’s colluding with Dems. There’s got to be some way it is illegal or unconstitutional.

If the MSM successfully incites CWII, I have a hunch they will be one of the first ones to be overrun and destroyed.

Are you sure which is an appendage of whom?

This has been going on for years all over the country. I thought it was fixed.

What would it take to eliminate this “union”? Seems like a good thing for some real public service-minded individual to make into a project.

Agreed. There of course has to be. There is really no difference now between what the DNC and the MSM say about 98% of the time. They’ve decided not to represent the views of a huge percentage of the country and have adopted DNC views wholesale, including almost the entire DNC terminology. “Undocumented immigrant,” “marriage equality,” “gender assigned at birth,” etc. They readily accept what Dems say by default, and attack Republicans who don’t go along with Dems.

Then on top of it, corporations are funding this political speech using money they’ve made off the American public. They’re basically buying advertising for the DNC.

I’ve started researching a bit into the legal aspects of this, but I have to think laws are being broken but it’s like with everything else, the Democrat and GOPe side have virtual impunity.
