All Mexicans are deputized BY BIRTH to enforce Mexican immigration law.
An able-bodied 14-y.o. Mexican can arrest a 30-y.o. Guatemalan illegally in Mexico, if there is adequate suspicion.
It’s also a FELONY for a foreigner to attend any public political rally in Mexico.
I believe we should have those laws here in the USA, too.

That has been the law in Japan for DECADES; without showing that card you can’t register a bicycle, can’t register for classes, visit a hospital, can’t rent an apt/buy a house....
