President Trump, who has accepted North Korean leader Kim Jong Un's invite to meet, sent out a flurry of tweets in 2014 calling former NBA star and friend of Kim, Dennis Rodman, crazy for saying Trump would ever be willing to go to North Korea.

"Crazy Dennis Rodman is saying I wanted to go to North Korea with him. Never discussed, no interest, last place on Earth I want to go to," Trump tweeted.

A South Korea official announced Thursday evening outside the West Wing that Pyongyang has extended an invitation to President Trump to meet with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un. “President Trump appreciated the briefing and said he would meet Kim Jong Un by May to achieve permanent denuclearization," South Korean national security adviser Chung Eui-Yong told reporters.

White House press secretary Sarah Sanders said afterwards that the the time and place of the meeting have yet to be determined.

Trump also tweeted in 2014 that Rodman was either "drunk or on drugs" when he said he wanted to go to North Korea.

"Glad I fired him on 'Apprentice,'" Trump said of Rodman, who was a contestant on Trump's reality TV show.

In 2014, Rodman told Business Insider that Donald Trump wanted to go with him to North Korea.

"Donald Trump wanted to go," Rodman said. "He wanted to give me his plane to go over there."

Rodman has made multiple trips to North Korea over the years and last summer handed Kim a copy of Trump's 1987 book, The Art of the Deal.

Rodman has yet to comment on the news of the planned meeting between Trump and Kim.

China is a mixed bag, he could probably get a lot of help from China if he scheduled the meeting there but on the other hand, we are trying to diminish China’s influence.

Oh Mandy well,
You came and you spoke without thinking
But I read anyway.
Oh, Mandy
Well, your brain farts are topical slacking,
And I must run away
Oh, Mandy!

I don’t understand the point of this article.

The point is, "Let's hate Trump".

It Trump was still a private citizen, he would still feel the same way. He’s president now, with huge reason to go to N. Korea if that’s where he needed to go; but, he doesn’t need to go there, and they’ll meet in a “neutral” place.

No, because Dennis Rodman made no prediction. He made a claim. Unless I am misreading this, Dennis Rodman claimed Donald J. Trump, private citizen, wanted to join him in 2014 on his visit to North Korea. Since he wasn’t President then he had no reason to want to get involved. What reason would he want to go there, capital investments? Situations have changed which is why President Donald J. Trump now has a valid reason to go there. That reason still isn’t capital investments though. 8>)

President Trump won’t go to NK, period. As to where the meeting will/would take place? Possibly China, Japan, or (most unlikely, but possible) USA.

Rodman didn’t make a prediction (lucky or otherwise). He flat out said that Trump wanted to go to N Korea with him. That’s not a prediction, that’s a lie.

There's simply no way in Hell Trump is going to meet Kim in NK. Not even in SK, IMO.

My prediction is Australia or New Zealand.

But you have to admit: Trump meeting Kim is probably the greatest foreign policy achievement since the Monroe Doctrine.

LOL!

As much as the rabid lefties would want our President to go to North Korea, that’s not going to happen. Maybe the lefties should go there instead.

The President will meet Kim in a friendly country. The North Korean government cannot be trusted to host President Trump or any other valued American.

Yeah, there are plusses and minuses.

Other possibilities: Poland, Sweden and Switzerland are the officially neutral observers of the Korean War armistice.

Trump will set up a meeting at some hotel conference center near Reykjavik. Trump will be carrying his .45 in a discreet holster and will blow the back of Kim’s skull out as soon as everyone else clears the room. Then back on AF-1 and the Korean Peninsula problem solved.
