Around the world, there is profound concern that America is giving up the mantle of global leadership. Our steady retreat over the past decade has contributed to a wide array of complex global challenges a dangerous erosion of the rule of law, gross human rights violations and the decline of the rules-based international order that was designed in the aftermath of two world wars to prevent conflict and deter mass atrocities.

John McCain - the most despicable Republican in the history of the Republican Party.
Really?
The Rohingya Moslems PROVOKED their expulsion by attacks on non-Moslems in Myanmar. I think they are getting off pretty lightly.
Once again McCain demonstrates that we dodged a bullet when he lost to Obama. He would have been no better and he would have destroyed the GOP, as well.
Our steady retreat over the past decade
Note for the brain dead...hello, under the
OBAMA regime...
My guess is that someone is writing for John.
Probably a remake of “Weekend at BernIe s”
Amazing to me how Trump has “outed” people in a way that gets them to show their true colors. The democrats have been exposed, and people like McCain and Flake and others too.
In short, all these politicians are beholding to the various special interests. Once you understand that, it all makes sense.
McCain and Jolie? How did they get together? Why would the NYT print such foolishness?
Any religion that is just a front for terrorist tactics to advance their control over regions will obviously have their own victims due to backlash. Meanwhile, scores of innocent Christians in these same regions are being killed and persecuted simply for being Christians. Their is a reason McCain is focusing attention only on Muslim victims. The global agenda that he is a part of needs Americans to have sympathy for Muslims
Umm, no McCain, and no, Angelina......
I don’t believe McCain wrote a word of this...he’s dying
Muslim terrorists and separatists have been active in West Myanmar/Burma since the 1940’s, in attempts to create a separate Muslim state or merge with (at the time) was East Pakistan.
With the advent of civilian government in 2011, Muslim separatists in the West of Myanmar agin took advantage of government openness. The Arakan Rohingya Salvation Army (ARSA), the main Muslim group, is known to have ties to Saudi and Gulf sponsors and has continuously launched attacks on Hindus and Buddhists in their areas.
McCain is an @$$hole.
Those donating to Franklin Graham’s “Samaritan’s Purse” should know that according to his Winter 2017 pamphlet “Prayer Point”, he and his ministry are heavily involved in in meeting “the critical needs of desperate Rohingya refugees”.
I do not believe this is money well spent, and has caused me to rethink future contributions to his charity.
FYI
McCain is not capable of writing anything at this point.
They are just adding his name to stuff and putting it out.
The Rohingya are not citizens of Myanmar, there are illegal aliens from Bangladesh.
No wonder McCain has a soft spot for them.
Perfectly illustrating how Bush League Republicans are the real danger to America.
Isn’t Myanmar one of those “shithole” countries?
Their contribution to the world .... Burma Shave road signs.

The media is on an all out assault on the Buddhists of Myanmar, even insinuating that maybe Buddhists aren’t the peace loving people we thought they were, and portraying the Muslim Rohingyas as peaceful victims. That is one desperate agenda. The globalist are trying to orchestrate the next wave of Muslim immigration, using the Myanmar crisis to their twisted advantage.
Yeah, no.
And I voted for this sh!t head?
Times are a changing
I know! Let’s let the Yurps handle this one. Let them use some of their awesome soft power to deal with the situation.
Regardless, its not our problem. It seems to me there are lots of majority muslim countries with plenty of money who could take care of this.
