A federal judge ordered the San Diego Unified School District on Tuesday to hand over evidence detailing its correspondence with the Council on American-Islamic Relations about the implementation of a controversial anti-Islamophobia bullying initiative at San Diego public schools.
The development is the latest in a long-running saga concerning school officials in San Diego coordinating with CAIR, an American-Muslim civil rights and religious organization with known links to a number of anti-Israel groups such as the Muslim Brotherhood.
The controversy began in April when the San Diego school district announced it was launching an anti-Islamophobia initiative to combat what it described as a vast and underreported epidemic of anti-Muslim bullying in the district’s schools.
The multi-year anti-bullying plan, developed with assistance from CAIR, called for adding Muslim holidays to staff calendars, introducing new library materials on Muslim culture, encouraging Muslim-centered high school clubs, creating “safe spaces” for Muslim students and providing staff training about Muslim culture.
Hanif Mohebi, the executive director of CAIR-San Diego, praised the initiative and said it should serve as a model for school districts across the country.

I lived most of my adult live in San Diego, it was very much a military town. Even after the Clintons shut down bases, including Top Gun school.
WTH happened to my former home city? Oh, never mind. I know what happened. It’s always the same “root cause”—liberals.
Immediate loss of citizenship and deportation to the muzzy country of one’s choice.
What under-reported epidemic? Bullying in what regard? Give an example of 'under-reported' malfeasance and maybe I can begin to understand WTH you're talking about.

How does any of this pampering reduce "Bullying"?
What percentage of Public Schools teach traditional American values? = less than 1%
What percentage have a staff and curricula focused on undermining traditional American values? = +99%.
During the last presidential election, a good coach but a liberal left winger posing as a teacher at a private Catholic High School blasted Trump daily. One of our younger relatives, 16 at that time was a student in the class and took the coach on verbally.
He was sent to the principle’s office and his parents were
told to come pick him up.
He had a sister at an adjoining school. Their parents were paying well over $40,000 per year for both students.
His parents told the principle that they would sue him, the teacher and the school for harassment of their son and making them pay for a political tirade instead of teaching.
Their son and some of his conservative friends had made recordings of the coach’s anti Trump rants and his threats to their son.
They told the principle that at least 40% of the student’s parents at the school were Trump supporters. The Mother told the principle that her son had texted her about what happened. She in turn sent that text and copies of the rants and threats to Trump voting parents in the schools.
They told the principle if the B$ continued from the left wing teacher, they and several parents would pull their kids out and demand refunds from of both schools.
Suddenly, the principle realized that the coach could cost them a good size 6 figure loss with the students leaving.
The mother had a blistering email that she had not sent yet, addressed to local and area newspapers/TV stations explaining the bs. Plus, she would send copies of the recorded rants to the media.
She said that if her son was not reinstated and the A$$hole coach removed from teaching, she and other parents would raise holy hell. Last but not least, her son would not be harmed/harassed by the teacher, staff and principle.
The principle realized that the parents were very serious, and he could lose a ton of money in tuition, refunds in tuition and a mountain of legal costs.
The boy got a B in the course and didn’t have attend any more. The coach/teacher was told to keep his vile political mouth shut and stick to the approved curriculum. He quit teaching after that semester was over.
