It was until yesterday. Now it has more in common with MA than a free state. What good is being “allowed” to possess something you can’t buy? That said, I didn’t realize private sales were still permitted. At least young Floridians still have some options.

We don’t ask the police here if its ok to buy a gun like MA. We don’t register our guns with the police. Our CWP is shall issue and provided by the Florida Department of Agriculure not the police. We don’t need any permit from the police to simply own and transport a gun. MA is a police state compared to here.
