Republican National Committee chairwoman Ronna McDaniel has called on Democratic counterpart Tom Perez to explain Rep. Keith Ellison's (D., Minn.) relationship with noted anti-Semite Louis Farrakhan.
Ellison, the Democratic National Committee's vice chairman, claimed recently he hadn't had contact with Farrakhan, the leader of the Nation of Islam, since 2006. However, the pair have been together at least three times since 2010. His untrue claims earned a "four Pinocchios" rating from the Washington Post fact checker.
Questions over their relationship were reignited following anti-Semitic speech Farrakhan gave in February. The speech also criticized Ellison for having distanced himself from the group when he ran for Congress in 2006. The Nation of Islam leader even displayed a photo of Ellison selling the Nation of Islam newspaper in 1998.
On Friday, McDaniel called on the DNC chairman to take action.
"Keith Ellison’s long pattern of lies about his ongoing relationship with Louis Farrakhan, who the Anti-Defamation League calls ‘America’s leading anti-Semite,’ has put a stain on the Democrat Party," McDaniel said in a statement. "Anti-Semitism has no place in American politics, Tom Perez must address this issue."
As chairman and vice chairman, Perez and Ellison work closely together in an effort to grow the Democratic Party. The two were made party leaders together after the 2016 election to restore stability to the party, but they have continued to suffer from poor fundraising.
Why are Thomas Perez and muslim Keith Ellison both grabbing at their ties with their mouths hanging open?

Those of us who are paying attention have known about Ellison’s connections with Nation of Islam since he got involved in national politics.

Why now and not as a September/October surprise?
1) Harping on this now paints the whole Demo-rat party as racists. And is quite amusing as the party leadership twists into pretzels to avoid the issue.
2) Provides confusion regarding Demo-rat party leadership and direction.... focusing their energy inside the party and away from seeking and supporting candidates. Also this is a dare to the Demo-rat candidates — do you support your leadership and its ties to racists?
3) Provide some “virtue signaling ammunition” to Trumpist foot soldiers. Stand up to the SJWs and ask - do you support racists just like Ellison, Pelosi, Schumer etc?
They are both looking at Rev. Farrakhan onstage;
He yells from the podium.
“Will the real leader of the Democrat Party come up on stage and stand with me now?”
Perez waits for Ellison, who is waiting for Perez.
‘Standing with’ Rev. Farrakhan at this time is a dubious honor at best.

There’s nothing to ‘address’. The Democrat Party HATES JEWS and obviously hates Israel too. That’s why they elected Ellison - it is that simple. JUST SAY IT!!!
All she’s doing here is giving them a virtual FREE PASS, so that they, the Democrats, can come up with some soothing words to keep their Jewish Money flowing.
Until we learn how to play ball ON THEIR LEVEL, they’ll just keep getting away with this crap. In this case, there is ONE EXPLANATION - the Democrats HATE JEWS, and unless our side hammers that home, Jews will simply stay with the Democrats forever.
