There’s no reason to believe that in the future a Tubman memorial will receive any better treatment than Lee or Jackson.
And that’s too bad because, as a 61 year old white guy, raised in Wisconsin and residing in the south for the last 20 years, I’d have to say that Tubman’s story is incredibly moving. She’s an impressive figure in our nation’s history, and deserves greater recognition. It just doesn’t have to be to the specific exclusion of this statue. Unfortunately, a lot of blacks view justice (and history) as a team sport. Sigh.
As soon as someone points out that Tubman was a Republican who’d fit right in the NRA... the BLM’s and liberal’s heads will implode.
