If Africa is that cradle of civilization, does that mean we’re all African Americans? If so, sign me up for the quotas and benefits.

It worked for Elizabeth. She got a nice gig at Harvard that she unlikely would have gotten without being a Native-American.

The stories in my family are that my great grandfather was full blood Native American. He died when my grandmother was 9 and she told me all she really remembered about him.....she had a still pic in her mind of him shirtless chopping wood with black hair in a braid that was half way down his back. Before my grandmother died she did look like an old Indian woman. High cheekbones. Lol. Don’t know of anyone in our family that has done a dna test but don’t think anyone has ever marked Native American on anything. I know I never have.

When asked, I always say ‘as far as I know, if you go back far enough, all my ancestors came from Africa...’
