If it is proved Trump did have an affair, how does that git rid of Trump?

It might mean he loses the next election, but I doubt he could be impeached over a decades old fling. If Clinton had told the truth about his affair while in the White House, he would not have been impeached.

The Stormy affair was bad behavior by Trump as a private citizen. Has no legal relevance. It may cost him some votes, but mostly just the usual media sideshow. Then again it most likely will be largely forgotten by 2020.
