Except that once Global Warming really kicks in, there will be no more fall or winter seasons. Deciduous trees will stay green all year, and they will happily thrive on all the extra CO2.
And you know why that fall foliage is even there? Because the pine trees that used to COVER the area were all cut down for ships masts. We can thank the colonies for the gorgeous display we have now. Then the area was farmed for a couple hundred years until the industrial revolution presented a better option for people and they abandoned the farms to go down to Lowell and Lawrence for factory work. Which, difficult as it was, was still a far cry more reliable an income than farming rocks in The Granite State. THEN the maples etc moved in.
