Half of Intel’s development and engineering is in China. And all those facilities are populated by Chinese citizens. And all of those citizens are on the internal Intel network.

The potential good news is that development that may have military application is still stateside and protected by air gaps and firewalls.

Still, worldwide chip development, engineering and manufacturing is GLOBAL and it’s very, very difficult to keep secrets.

If it’s even possible.

But consider: Commercial compute today was considered a major military advantage 5-10 years go.
