What Is Novichok, the Poison that Nearly Killed a Russian Ex-Spy?
Novichok, which means "newcomer" in Russian, is a Soviet-era class of nerve agents that was created in the 1970s and 1980s as an attempt to get around the Chemical Weapons Treaty, according to "Responding to Terrorism: A Medical Handbook," published in 2010. That's because the treaty banned chemical weapons that have a certain chemical structure, and Novichok has a different structure.

Despite this structural difference, Novichok agents act like other nerve agents by binding to and inactivating cholinesterase, an enzyme that the nervous system uses to communicate with muscles.

"The reason you die from these [nerve agents] is very simple," said Dr. Lewis Nelson, chairman of emergency medicine at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School, who is not involved with the Skripals' treatment. "If your muscles don't work you can't breathe, and if you can't breathe you eventually die."

The weaponisation of any chemical is banned under the 1997 Chemical Weapons Convention, of which Moscow is a signatory. The Salisbury attack was to be raised in closed door sessions of the OPCW’s executive council when it begins three days of meetings in The Hague on Tuesday.

Whats the proof? All I’ve seen is hunches, and Teresa May the psychopath says “it’s likely it was Russia”. I think it’s more likely -this- guy might have been Michael Steele’s “Russian source” for the dossier and our intel world put out a hit on him! There could be all kinds of reasons to rub him out that aren’t Russian and thats a glaringly obvious one. His era of spying was during the Michael Steele era of active British service. Id bet a paycheck those two are connected.

Also, this makes no sense. It was 15 years ago that he was a turncoat, and the guy was arrested, and served time in in prison in Russia for that treason against his country, then was released at some point. Why not just kill him when he was there if that was going to happen??

We are being sold a bill of goods here.

As Werner Klemperer once said on “Hogan”s Heroes” you will be “court martialed, shot and sent to the Russian Front”.

Oh really? I find it more interesting that Russian spies keep getting poisoned in England. Hey Ms. May...what’s up with that?

Monday: Tillerson criticizes Russia.

Tuesday: Tillerson out as Secretary of State.

Post hoc ergo propter hoc.

What further proof do we need that Trump is Putin's puppet?
