This seems like a legitimate request to me. And it may be the means by which Russia determines which stockpile was used...who had access etc.

I don't believe Russia thinks their interests could be advanced by using a chemical weapon to assassinate a security defector in Britain.

When a bullet to the back of the head will suffice.

Do you think Russia is deliberately being framed? Or that the perpetrators just happened to have a sample from a rogue Soviet stockpile?

I agree.

Look at what our government put us through with the anthrax. Still think they lied through their teeth.

Russia has every right perform its own tests of the suspected nerve gas compound.

Since the British demand answers of Russia, they have to accede to the request.

Russia isn’t going to respond to a British ultimatum to provide answers to an incident in which it can’t test the attributed substance.

Skripal is considered by the Russians to be a traitor. If they really wanted him dead, they have had plenty of opportunities to make good on it.

Who's to say that this wasn't a false flag operation?

When the Soviet Union fell, Novichok group technology could have been sold to the highest bidder by corrupt Soviet officials.

Wikileaks showed that the CIA had the means to perform computer hacks and leave Russian (or any other country’s) fingerprints behind to frame others for CIA intrusions. I suspect the same MO could be applied to political hits. Russia’s problem is they have a long track record assassinations, so even if they are being framed, the frame sure fits the picture.

Its truly stupid to do some with your finger prints so blatantly all over it

So either Russia deliberately did it so blatantly and loud because they want to send a message and is willing to take all the heat they’re going to get about it or someone’s trying to frame the Russians, provoke a bad relationships to get worse

There’s a lot of people right now that want a bad relations with the Russians I can start with ISIS

The thing is if the Russians wanted to whack this guy they could do it very quietly

what’s the up side for them to do it so loud so blatant with their fingerprints all over it

what what’s the up side to communicate this and just cause problems for themselves

I don’t get it

“But London had so far refused to provide Moscow access to the substance and other materials related to the poisoning case, Lavrov said.”

And we all know why

http://www.moonofalabama.org/2018/03/spy-posions-spy-and-the-anti-trump-campaign.html

The Russian ex-spy was a close associate of Christopher Steele, and was likely the “source” of the “dossier”. So who’s more likely to put a hit on him? The Russians -after- he was arrested in Russia, imprisoned for treason, served his sentence and was released and living openly under his own name, in the UK for 8 years? OR, the Brennan/COmey intel community/Hillary crew who knows he was the author of the fake dossier and doesn’t want him talking to anyone? (especially since he is a double agent, so the Clinton/Steele crew trusting him to stay loyal is a non-starter)

This is pure deep state crap.

Translate Sergei Skripal from Russian into English, and it comes out as “Seth Rich”.

I believe that Russia is acting responsible in asking for a sample.
There would be no way to track down some rogue culprit without the sample.
The UK should provide them with it. Unless, of course that it could be traceable back to MI6 or some otheragency.

The Russians have a history of being creative with assassinations and frequently use everything except for bullets in the back of the head. They’ve even used poisoned umbrella tips.

It’s Putin’s way of telling the British that he is willing to go much further in pursuit of his foreign policy objectives than the British are willing to go for theirs.

They’ve used similar methods in the past, poisoning enemies with both dioxin and radioactive isotopes.
