The point of the article is the weaponization of the law for political purposes. In every instance it is directed at a Republican.

Like Stalin’s NKVD, the state identifies the criminal and maybe comes up with evidence later.

This tactic, if not stopped soon, will expand to the point that people will have second thoughts about running for office as a Republican.

Not many Americans understand that there weren't armies of full-time public persecutors at every level of government for many many decades after the Founding.

The prosecution does not possess the photo and no one has claimed to have seen it.

Imagine that. None of the "news" coverage has mentioned that little tidbit.
