STUNNING: Jeff Sessions Cited the WRONG LAW when He Recused Himself from Russian Witch Hunt – Took Advice From Obama Lawyers ( full title )

...

Sessions made the announcement the day after he was sworn in as Attorney General after advice from Obama lawyers in the Department of Justice.

...

legal expert Gregg Jarrett told Sean Hannity that Sessions used the WRONG LAW when announcing his recusal. He took advice from OBAMA OFFICIALS and they misled him.

Gregg Jarrett: He betrayed the president. He knew when he was sworn in that he was going to recuse himself and the very next day he put the recusal in motion. He never told the president about that. And by the way he cited the regulation in his recusal… He cited the wrong law. It didn’t apply.

Sara Carter: I think he was being advised badly at the time.

Gregg Jarrett: Yeah, by Obama’s holdovers. Who in the world would believe them?

Don’t you sometimes long for the “old days”, when most Freepers actually knew and understood such things? :-)

Say again: Sessions was a mediocre at best state’s attorney general and ineffective, incompetent as a US attorney. No idea why anyone would find him worthy of defense much less admiration. He has done squat his entire career. And capping it off with way too long as a denizen of the Swamp in DC before becoming AG. Really, the guy is an imposter and needs to be ushered out of his office by two US Marshalls like McIntee was.

C’mon Trump, pull the damn trigger on this loser and get someone in there who can do something.

One of the things I miss is flame warring with you. Even though I remain cranky, the excitement has worn off.

-- ... we're on the same side with this topic --

I'm not sure what you mean by "this topic," but on the general tenor of the thread, we are opponents.

-- FLAME WARS are really boring and worthless. --

They don't add value other than entertainment. I agree they are generally noise, and a decadent indulgement by the participants.

I've taken to avoid contact with those I tend to disagree with. My part in lkeeping the peace.

Oh gee...I agreed with your post and you’re giving me a hard time about it and disagreeing with me? That would mean that you don’t agree with what you posted. LOL

I appreciate your compliment that I corrected the impression that Trump would be stuck with Rosenstein for 6 years. But that is not the tenor of the thread, which approximately probes "Sessions, pro or con?"

I know you aren't totally comprehension impaired, so just reread what I wrote. Your remark, "That would mean that you don't agree with what you posted." is a flame, you dingbat.

Not falling for your extremely meager, pathetic "bait".

As far as reading comprehension goes, it is you who has been found wanting. I agreed with your POST, which is the "topic" that I was referring to. :-)

Sheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeesh...you can't even take a well meaning compliment.

I see the questions as posed in bad faith

You see my questions as being "posed in bad faith", because you can't answer them without forcing yourself to admit the obvious logical conclusion, which is:

Knowing that he could not ethically go after the Clinton Crime Syndicate, Jeff Sessions should have immediately withdrawn his name from contention to be nominated as AG. To do otherwise would open the door to installing a crippled AG, who would be legally handcuffed, and barred from spearheading the absolutely vital investigations into what is without doubt, the most egregious episode of government corruption in our nation's history.

By recusing himself from this most urgent task, then remaining in the office, he has effectively shielded all of the major players from justice, while holding the door open for those selfsame traitors to mount a palace coup against his president.

Jeff Sessions, through his feckless cowardice, has aided and abetted one of the most diabolical plots in American history.

See, I didn't need to answer your questions, you already had the answers. Saved myself all sorts of time.

Fair enough, friend. I know you don't want a fight, and neither do I.

For the record, my questions to you were not posed in bad faith. I know you to be a critical thinker, and truly did want to challenge you on the logic behind your assertions.

Obviously, you're not obligated to justify your position to me, and I'm okay with that.
