And yet it doesn’t change the facts of the article were correct and you did not point out that in post# 23 the only inaccuracy or lack of precision was not in the article or the articles author but only in the date which you filled to mention in the post either as a mistake or intententional

Heh, what you said outlines the issue with the complete ludicrousness of their approaches to solving many problems!
See, if Phyllis Schlafly were alive today, she would have got right to the root of that problem by by using the Socratic approach, then would have said (in a far shorter time than you or I would have) “Well, if that is your stance, you will have to outlaw all rocks, including those above and below the ground...”
(THAT was how she defeated the Equal Rights Amendment nearly singlehandedly...)
Love it...of course, from a leftist perspective, they probably would love having that clause in place even if they never plan on enforcing it. Scratch the skin of any Leftist, and you will find a Beria underneath who will say “Show me the man, and I will find you the crime.”
I have a Brother, named David, who at an early age learned to use a sling, like his name sake. I have seen him sling a rock the size of an orange over 200 feet with some accuracy. We sweated out one throw that nearly hit a Caddie Convertible. They can be a great weapon and ammo is readily available!
Well then they will need to ban the materials, all of them, to make a simple sling shot. Elastics will now have to be heavily regulated just as all leather products to make the pouch for the rock to sit in and of course wood will have to be completely banned. All trees will need to be cut down for the children. Massive wood burns will have to take place to destroy all the trees and deadwood. Not sure what we can do about preventing plastics from taking their place but by gosh we will figure something out. We must do “something” after all.
If just one child is saved by these commonsense measures; it will be worth the minor inconvenience to the people of America.
I guess that should read “slingshot”.
