Democrats Flex Political Muscle to Shut Down NRA Event

n the United States, politicians are not supposed to be able to prevent the opposition from meeting or speaking.

When Progressives dominated the mass media, the left celebrated the First Amendment.  In 1963, the Harvard-Radcliff Democratic Club invited George Wallace to speak, and there were no protests or threats of violence.  Leftists were all for free speech and rights of an assembly when they had little opposition in organs of mass media.

Times have changed. The Progressives no longer have an effective monopoly in the media. Now, heavier-handed tactics are resorted to. Democrat politicians in New York pressured a Staten Island business, the Vanderbilt, to cancel a Friends of the NRA event.

When their heavy-handed tactics worked, they celebrated.  From silive.com:

Councilwoman Debi Rose (D-North Shore) and Assemblyman Matthew Titone (D-North Shore) said they were “appalled” to learn about the fundraiser prior to its cancellation and “refuse to cooperate with evil.”

When Progressive obtain power, they use it to shut down the opposition.

FDR used the FCC to shut down any opposing voices on the radio networks.

They are continuing with their gun-grabbing agenda as if hilLIARy had won.

Can you imagine the legislation she would be proposing right now if she had?

Her desk would be piled high with anti American bills already passed unanimously and ready for the queens signature as soon as she got in office..

The final TRUMP card is 63 million Americans, many of them armed and able to bare arms.

I have to believe at some point, DJT pulls that card and places it on the table for all to see, forever removing the myth the 2nd amendment was for deer hunting and recreation, and signaling to those Americans it is time to prepare.

For that card to be effective, Americans have to get ready at the local level to get on the road if need be, by forming the networks and relationships that will be needed to bring this to a swift and logical conclusion.

If the enemies of the Republic continue unabated, they must at some point be decisively dealt with in such a fashion, the actions will echo throughout history, to the point where Gettysburg is relegated as a much lesser footnote in American history.

The South Shore of Staten Island is more conservative than the North Shore.

North Shore=more Democratic, urban, liberal
Mid-Island=like swing area. Even number of conservatives and liberals and a lot of moderates
South Shore=suburban, Republican

Fascism! This is raw fascism!

FDR & Democrats openly admired Stalin but did not automatically hate Hitler and Mussolini. Fascist regimes got things done & dealt with troublesome critics, too.

FDR instituted the Fairness Doctrine while claiming the bully pulpit which radio afforded. What’s happening to NRA supporters now is an old Democrat practice.

I think the Fairness doctrine was put in place to attempt to rein in the blatant one-sidedness of radio under FDR. It was created in 1949, but had the effect of keeping conservative thought off the air.

Why? Because the networks were already bastions of Progressivism, and their underlying assumptions and gatekeeping advanced the Progressive agenda.
