Yeah, but the ones who quit will be on our side. Think U.S. veterans, country people, Korean grocers, etc.

“Because there’s a lot of s#it that needs shooting!”

There’ll be a LOT MORE when the ‘lites go out in NYC and LA ....

I live in a rural county east of Kansas City. My house is on five acres of land. My nearest neighbors are about a quarter mile to the east and about the same distance to the west. The sheriffs department will have, maybe, three or four deputies on patrol for the entire county at any given time. So yes, I need to depend on myself for protection. I need to drive off the occasional coyote or take care of the occasional nuisance animal. I own a handgun for self defense and a .22 rifle and shotgun for general shooting. That’s not necessarily gun culture, just common sense.

This article reminds me of a quote from Sun Tsu, “know your enemy as you know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles.”

In other words, for liberals to defeat their conservative, rural enemy, the author refers to Sun Tsu to know thine enemy.

I have studied warfare, and this author’s information warfare will not effect my stance. The second amendment is sacrosanct and is required for men to be and stay free.

... just common sense.

Is there any way you could clone this?

Our country is in dire need of a LOT of it!

I’ve got 13; most of it woods.

My closest neighbor is about 1/3 mile away.

Others much farther!

My five acres are mostly woods and part of a pond. I have an old farm house, all that was left when an existing farm was split and sold to my two neighbors years ago. I’ve re-done the house and am trying to clean up the woods and put in walking paths. I love the peace and quiet and the only drawbacks are the commute to work in the city and trying to give directions to friends on how to get there. But in the end it’s worth it.

I hear ya!

We completely gutted the house and rearranged stairs, bathrooms and removed/combined bedrooms.

The woods were so thick you could only get thru them by animal paths. Now a van can go most anywhere.

I lost over 40 trees to the Green Ash Borer in the last 3 years. I'll have firewood until I die!

Watching the NYT try to explain rural American culture is like watching a monkey try to hump a football.
