New York Rep. Louise Slaughter, the top Democrat on the powerful House Rules Committee and the only microbiologist in the Congress, died Friday at a Washington hospital just days after being injured in a fall at home, her congressional office said.

She was 88.

She only had a B.S. in biology and an M.P.H. (Master of Public Health) — she was no research scientist, professor, or practicing “microbiologist”.... he Wiki says right after earning her M.P.H. in the ‘50s she went to work for Proctor and Gamble doing MARKET RESEARCH.

So to call her a “microbiologist” seems to be an absurd stretch, but apparently she used the term herself in public, to give herself unwarranted scientific authority.

That’s a wake up for me; everytime I heard it (and that is ALWAYS the way she is referenced in the news) I thought that Dr. Jill Biden was some sort of surgeon. Instead, she’s got a mediocre PHD in education. Between that and her husband, Plugs, plagiarizing equally mediocre speeches, I don’t know what to think other than that the media lies.

Ha, that’s funny. Technically, every lawyer in the US has a “Doctor of Laws” degree. Thank God we don’t have to call them “doctors”; even Biden himself would have that title.
